APGA chieftain calls for probe of Abia lawmaker for alleged forgery

A factional chairman of the All Progressive Grand Alliance in Abia State, Nnanna Ukaegbu, has petitioned the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Ibrahim Idris, over an alleged forgery by the member representing Aba
North/Aba South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Ossy Prestige.

Ukaegbu, who had already dragged the matter before the Federal High Court, Umuahia, the capital, said he remains the duly nominated APGA candidate for Aba North/Aba South Federal Constituency in the House of
Representatives for the 2015 election and should be so declared and sworn in immediately.

In the petition to the IGP, the APGA chieftain alleged that Prestige lost the Peoples Democratic Party primaries before later conniving with highly placed officials in APGA to smuggle his name into the list of nominated candidates for the election submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission. Ukaegbu urged the IGP to initiate a thorough
investigation into the matter and prosecute the lawmaker if found culpable.
